MPM404 examines the historical and theological development of Holy Orders. It provides a history of the international Roman Catholic Women Priests’ Movement and examines its impact in reshaping and redefining priestly and pastoral ministry as a discipleship of equals in the 21st century. It offers a critique of the Vatican’s prohibition against women priests and reflects on the similarities and differences in the Ordination Rite of the institutional Church and the Ordination Rite of the Roman Catholic Women Priests Movement.
